Looking for an alternative to the Double Wedding Ring quilt? Try out this easy Wedding Rings pattern instead using just Half Square Triangles and squares!
Update! There are several layout options at the end of the tutorial!

Fabric Requirements for a 10″ Finished Wedding Rings Quilt Block:
- Light/White: 8 – 3″ squares, and 5 – 2.5″ squares
- Medium/Blue: 4 – 2.5″ squares
- Medium/Pink: 4 – 3″ squares
- Dark/Blue: 4 – 3″ squares

Sewing Directions:
Half Square Triangle Units:
Step 1:
Using four of the Light/White 3″ squares and the Medium/Pink 3″ squares, sew together eight Half Square Triangle units as shown in the picture below. Trim/square up the units to 2.5″ square. You will find my tutorial for making a basic Half Square Triangle block at https://quiltembroiderypdf.com/how-to-sew-a-basic-half-square-triangle-block

Step 2:
Repeat Step 1 using the four remaining Light/White 3″ squares and the Dark/Blue 3″ squares as shown below.

Putting It All Together:
Step 3:
Layout the Half Square Triangle units, the Light/White 2.5″ squares, and the Medium/Blue 2.5″ squares as shown in the picture below.

Step 4:
Sew the patches into three rows as shown below.

Step 5:
Press the seam allowances in opposite directs from row to row. In my sample I’ve pressed rows 1, 3 and 5 to the left and rows 2 and 4 to the right.

Step 6:
Finally, sew all those rows together to complete the block.

Step 7:
And press the seam allowances. In the example below I’ve pressed all the seam allowances in the same direction.
